Melinda DiGiovanna, Tiles

This piece was created to bring awareness to the Occupy Movement. There are forty-four pressed white clay tiles. Each tile was underglazed and fired. The designs were then screen printed with black ink onto decal paper and transferred to each tile. After the final firing, the tiles were assembled and grouted together.

  1. YES, QUESTION: would these be for exhibting or also for sale?

  2. yes but how would they be displayed and where? size? if this work is to be for sale, could the proceeds, after the artist's take, go somewhere meaningful? if the artist was so inclined?

  3. I like the individual tiles better than the assembled piece, but would like to find a place for this. I emailed the artist to ask about dimensions and sales.

    1. From the artist:

The piece is 23 inches tall and 61 inches across. The tiles are not for sale, it is just one full piece. I was not sure if this was a show to sell. The piece would be for sale for 2,500 dollars. Let me know if there is anything else you need
